• WX006-032 Fulacht fia
  Description

  Marked as a fulacht fia only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in a fold on a SE-facing slope of Slievebaun Hill, with a WNW-ESE stream just to the N. It was described in 1939 as a circular mound of charred stones and black soil (diam. c. 10m; H 0.3-1m) with an indentation at NE (OSFM). Nothing was visible at ground level in 1987, but there was a collection of field stones at the location. Fulacht fia (WX006-080----) is c. 40m to the WNW along the stream and fulacht fia (WX006-079----) and standing stone (WX006-033----) are c. 100m to the SE. • WX006-033 Standing stone
  Description

  Marked as a standing stone only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in a fold on a SE-facing slope of Slievebaun Hill, with a WNW-ESE stream c. 50m to the NE. It was recorded in 1940 as a stone with a triangular cross-section (dims c. 0.9m x 0.1m at NE to 0.8m; H c. 1.05m) roughly aligned NE-SW (OSFM). It was not visible at ground level in 1987, but a displaced stone (dims 0.2-0.3m; L 1m) nearby may the stone. Fulacht fia (WX006-079----) is c. 30m to the E and the possible fulacht fia (WX005-032----) is c. 100m to the NW.   Description

  Situated in the valley of a WNW-ESE stream, with the stream c. 20m to the N. This is a kidney-shaped, grass-covered mound of stones (L 5m; Wth 2.7m; H 0.3-0.5m). Fulacht fia (WX007-032----) is c. 90m to the WNW along the stream, and the standing stone (WX007-033----) is nearby.   Description

  Situated in the valley of a WNW-ESE stream with the stream c. 20m to the N. This is an oval, grass-covered mound of stones (dims 7.5m NW-SE; 5.5m NE-SW; H 0.3m) with a hollow (dims. 4.5m N-S; 2m E-W; D 0.2m) immediately to the N.
