  Description

  Marked as a circular enclosure on the1839 (diam. c. 50m) and 1925 (diam. c. 40m) eds of the OS 6 inch map. Situated on the plateau of a NW-SE spur in the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountains with the source of a small N-S stream c. 170m to the SE. The stream joins the NW-SE Boro River c. 500m further S. This is a slightly dished area (diam. c. 42m N-S; c. 39m E-W) in a harvested cereal crop, with a curve in a field bank to the W (C 34m). • WX024-008 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50m) on the 1839 ed. and as a ditched enclosure (ext. diam. c. 55m) on the 1925 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is visible as a slightly dished grass-covered area (diam. 40m) with portion of the bank at S surviving in a road bank (C 23m). It is visible as a double ditched cropmark enclosure (int. diam. c. 35m) on aerial photographs (MM (1) 18-21), and the cropmark can be seen on the OSI series of aerial photographs (1995).   Description

  Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 45m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated on the spine of a NW-SE spur with the W-E Boro River c. 600m to the N and a NW-SE stream c. 45m to the NE. It is not visible at ground level in a harvested cereal crop, apart from a curve in the field bank at S (C 32m).   Marked as small rectangular embanked enclosure (ext. dims. c. 40m NW-SE; c. 30m NE-SW) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and situated towards the bottom of a S-facing slope towards the E tip of a NW-SE spur.
