  Description

  Located towards to the top of the S-facing slope of an E-W ridge, and at the W edge of a coniferous wood. This is a circular area (diam. c. 90m) defined by a low earthen bank (at N: Wth 5.5m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 1.2m) and outer fosse (at N: Wth of top 3.5m; D 0.5m. There is no recognisable entrance. • WX024-031 Moated site
  Description

  Situated in the valley of a W-E stream c. 100m W of its confluence with a SW-NE stream. This is a circular overgrown area altered into a D-shaped area (dims. 35m E-W; 30m N-S) by the stream on the S side and by field clearance at the W side. It is defined by a flat bottomed moat (at E: Wth of top 7.5m; Wth of base 3.5m; int. D 2.4m; ext. D 1.8m) with a slight inner bank (at E: Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.8m) and an intermittent outer bank (at E: Wth 2.5m; ext. H 0.5m) NW-SE. There is an entrance causeway (Wth 6m), which is probably modern, at NE.   Description

  Located in the valley of a small SW-NE stream, which is c. 60m to the S and c. 100 to the E. A large circular enclosure (diam c. 75m) defined by a single fosse feature is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (MM (55) 0-2; ASIAP, WX 97, 2-4; 101, 14-18). There is no visible entrance gap but the perimeter is slightly truncated by a NW-SE road at NE.
