  Description

  Situated on a marked NW-facing slope. Oval area (dims. 32m NW-SE; 28m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.3-6m; max. H 1.3m) and an external fosse (Wth 3.3m; D 0.2-0.6m). There is a possible entrance (Wth 2.8m) at the W, but no indication of internal features. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).   Situated on an E-facing slope at the base of a high NE-SW ridge. Named on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as 'Site of Church & Graveyard'. A small subcircular area (dims. 18.3m NW-SE; 14m NE-SW) defined by a wall (Wth 2m; H 0.2m) within a much larger D-shaped area (dims. 56m NW-SE; 17m NE-SW) backing on to a stream (straight side) at the NE. There is no trace of a church and no grave-markers, the only internal feature being a line of stones which may have been part of a plinth. Local information suggests it may have been used until the turn of the century for the burial of unbaptised infants. Architectural heritage

• Clone House, farm house, 1790–1810 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached three-bay two-storey farmhouse, built c.1800. The farmhouse is finished in render with block-and-start quoins. There are various two-storey additions. The panelled replacement door has a semi-circular arched plain fanlight. Window openings are also flat headed with a mixture of one over one and two over two timber sash frames. The mainly hipped roof is finished with natural slate and cast-iron rainwater goods. Chimneystacks are rendered with corbelled caps and clay pots. The farmhouse is set within its own grounds which also contain a range of rubble-built single-storey outbuildings.
