Description
Situated on a gentle W-facing slope in scrubby terrain overlooking marshy ground to the NW. Circular area (diam. 32m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; H 0.6m) and an external fosse (Wth 2.5m; D 0.6-0.8m). At the S stones along the foot of the bank and in the fosse may represent a collapsed revetment. No trace of an entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Description
Situated on level ground at the NE foot of a steep slope with gentle slopes below the site to the NW. Circular enclosure (diam. 14m) defined by a partly levelled earth and stone bank (Wth 3m; H0.3m). There are two gaps, one at the SE (Wth 1.2m) and another at the S (Wth 2m). No visible indication of a fosse or internal features. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
