Description
In undulating pasture, in SE corner of field. Levelled; noticeable rise visible in corner of field. Incorporated into field fence system is scarp NE->SE, with external fosse (D c. 0.5m). An earlier report (OPW, 22-12-1981) recorded circular area (diam. c. 22m) enclosed by low earthen bank (H 0.5m) with narrow external fosse and interior sloping gently down to SSE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
