  Description

  On W side of a glacial ridge close to the inner reaches of Ardbear Bay. Consists of a small chamber (L 1.75m, Wth 1.2m), aligned NW-SE, incorporated in an oblong mound (10m by 7m). The chamber, which is open to NW and narrows towards the rear, is covered by a single large roofstone. The chamber and immediate area to NW have been dug out. Although the monument cannot be classified with certainty, interpretation as a wedge-tomb would not be inconsistent with the present evidence. • Ardbear Bridge, bridge, 1800–1840 · Regional interest
  Description

  Rubble limestone road bridge, built c.1820, built in form of causeway and having two widely separated arches to allow travel of water. Situated at entrance to tidal Adbear Salt Lake. Segmental arches have dressed limestone voussoirs and limestone blockwork to flanks, and battered rubble limestone walls. Rubble-stone parapet walls with recent concrete copings.

  Description

  Triple-arch rubble limestone road bridge, built c.1820, having rubble walls, rubble voussoirs to segmental arches, triangular cutwaters with concrete reinforcement to base, rubble parapet walls with recent concrete copings. Battered rubble abutments to approaches.
