A meteorological mast with a height of 30 meters, security fencing and associated foundation and hard-standing area; vii. Upgrade of existing site tracks/ roads and provision of new site access roads, junctions and hardstand areas, including a new site entrance off the L3115; viii. Peat and Spoil Management Areas; ix. Tree felling and vegetation removal; x. Biodiversity enhancement measures (including peatland habitat enhancement, Marsh Fritillary habitat enhancement and management, establishment of hedgerows and native woodland planting); xi. Site drainage; xii. Operational stage site signage; and xiii. All ancillary works and apparatus. A thirty five-year operational life from the date of full commissioning of the wind turbines and subsequent decommissioning is being sought. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Natura Impact Statement (NIS) have been prepared in respect of the proposed development and accompany this application. Description
On an E-facing slope in former demesne land. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a roughly subcircular tree-planted enclosure (c. 55m by c. 45m) delimited by a solid line. Described in 1980 as 'a roughly circular monument, very poorly preserved, outlined by remains of a very low broken down wall. … [It] measures approx. 38m N.W.-S.E. … On East, N.E. & S.E. the wall is set on a low scarp while there is a shallow fosse outside on North, West & S.W.' Description
On the summit of a prominent hillock in gently undulating pastureland. Poorly preserved circular enclosure (D c. 80m) defined by an earthen bank and external fosse. The bank, which is planted with ash trees, is visible from N through E to SSE, while the fosse survives from WSW through N to S. From WSW to N it has been widened deepened and straightened off: A drain at WSW leads S to a small pond. A collapsed field wall runs around its outer edge from N to ESE. Two small gaps in the bank at NNE and NE appear modern. A wall cuts across enclosure from N to S marking both the td. and B. boundaries.
