Description
Internal diameter 32m N-S, 32.6m E-W This site is marked on the 1842 OS map as a circular enclosure; it does not appear on the 1916 edition. The site has been much levelled, though it is still quite distinguishable. It consists of a circular area enclosed by a low, wide earthen bank. The width of the bank at its base is 6m-l1m, and the height on average is .9m above the interior. The interior is at a slightly higher level than the surrounding land. Description
Internal diameter 20m E-W Situated NE of KE014-086----, this circular enclosure is marked on the 1842 OS map but does not appear on the 1916 edition. The S sector has been cut by a fieldbank running E-W. All that remains today is a semi-circular raised area at a height of 1.3m above the surrounding land. The above description is derived from C. - KE014-088 Ringfort - rath
Description
Internal diameter 26.4m This site is situated in such a way that it becomes the boundary of four fields. The univallate rath has been levelled; to the S to E the enclosing bank and fosse have been completely levelled. Elsewhere, the well-defined enclosing bank is 1.6m-2.6m above the interior and has a steep exterior side which rises to a maximum height of 3.5m above the fosse. The fosse is also well defined, being U shaped, round bottomed, steep and wide; it is 2.4m-3.6m in width and .8m-1.4m below the height of the surrounding land. The interior is at a slightly higher level than the surrounding land, and in the SW sector is a depression 6.4m x 5.4m. The above description is derived from C.
