• KE014-085 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Internal diameter 35m N-S, 36m E-W Faha Fort/Lios na Faiche (ringfort of the lawn). This circular univallate rath is situated in the corner of a field. The enclosing earthen bank rises to a maximum height of 4m above the fosse and 2.4m above the interior. The enclosing fosse is steep and U shaped; this can especially be seen W through N to E. It is 1.4m-2.7m wide and .8m-3.8m deep. The interior, which is very overgrown, is at a much higher level than the surrounding land. Mr Royal, the landowner, stated that a few years ago a souterrain (KE014-085001-) was uncovered in the E sector of the interior; this is not now visible. The above description is derived from C.   Description

  Faha Fort/Lios na Faiche (ringfort of the lawn). Crcular univallate rath KE014-085---- is situated in the corner of a field.   Description

  Glanrakeon Fort/Gleann Ráthe Cuinn (glen of (the) ringfort of Conn - personal name). This circular enclosure is marked on the 1842 and 1897 OS maps and it is divided between OS 6-inch Sheet 14 and Sheet 20. It was ploughed out some years ago and no surface trace survives today. • KE020-005 Enclosure
  Description

  According to the landowner, a circular enclosure exists SW of a much levelled rath (681). The enclosure is not marked on any edition of the OS maps. • KE020-006 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Internal diameter 25.6m N-S, 25.4m E-W This circular enclosure appears on the 1842 OS map. It does not appear on the later edition, though the N sector of the bank would appear to have been incorporated into a fieldbank running E-W; this incorporation results in a curve in the fieldbank.   Description

  Marked on the 1842 and 1897 OS maps as a circular enclosure, on the later edition it is cut in two unequal parts by a fieldbank running NW-SE. No surface trace remains today.
