  Cairn described by Connolly (1999, 43-4) as; 'A large recently discovered cairn on Knockawaddra Mountain (342m)'.

• KE038-107 Burnt mound
  Description

  'A second probable fulacht fiadh existed around 30m to the north of [KE038-106----]........the site was further up the stream and was around 20m from it, in a water logged area of ground. The site was, according to the land owner, similar in size to [KE038-106----]....(8m X 11m) but remained to a greater height. The site was destroyed during land reclaimation in the early 1980's and burnt, shattered stone was visible.' • KE038-114 Burnt mound
  Description

  'This is located on a sheltered shelf on the western side of Knockawaddra Mountain. This site has extensive views to the north and east over the surrounding mountain and bog. The land in this area is predominantly used for turf cutting, and some very rough grazing for sheep. The site survives as a low horseshoe-shaped mound, measuring 10.0m N-S by 9.00m E-W and has a maximum height of 1.00m. A trough area occurs in the centre and is 0.40m below the crest of the mound. Total dimensions of this trough area, which opens to the north are 3.00m N-S by 2.00m E-W. A small stream runs in a N-S direction down the mountainside c.50.0m to the west of this site. Probing with a ranging rod revealed this mound to be stone-filled.' Compiled by Michael Connolly for the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as part of a survey of the Lee Valley area in 1996-97.
