  Description

  In pasture, at the top of a SW-facing slope. A circular area (26m E-W; c. 25m N-S) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 5.9m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1m). There are breaks in the bank at N and S, either of which could be original entrances. A N-S field boundary tangentially abuts the bank externally along the E arc. The interior slopes down to the SW. • KE058-159 Kiln - lime
  Description

  A mid/late 19th-century limekiln built into a slope at the W side of a junction of two minor roads with a small stream to the W. The overgrown random rubble front wall (H 4m; Wth 4.6m) faces W. The central arched recess (H 1.5m; Wth 1.6m; D 1.7m) has sloping slabs to the rear. The rear wall of the kiln is 1.5m high. The kiln has a stone-lined funnel (diam. 1.8m).
