  Description

  In tillage. A D-shaped enclosure identified as a cropmark on an aerial photograph (CUCAP BGG029,k 16 July 1971). The E side of the enclosure is defined by a straight-sided fosse (L c. 35m) with a curvilinear fosse extending westward (diam. c.30m) from this. • KK019-047001 Enclosure
  Description

  Indicated on the 1st (1839-40) ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 50m) surrounded by an a large oval enclosure (dims. c. 100m NW-SE; c. 80m NE-SW). A field boundary runs NE-SW along the edge of the outer enclosure. On the 2nd (1945-6) revision the monument is indicated with a field boundary containing it on all S, except to the S where the perimeter of the larger enclosure is depicted running up to the field boundary, suggesting it continues slightly S of it. On an aerial photograph (CUCAP BGG031, 16 July 1971) portion of a curvilinear enclosure is visible as a cropmark extending c. 20m N of the N field boundary containing the monument, with a break in the fosse to the N suggesting a possible entrance. This aerial photograph also shows a cropmark of a sub-rectangular enclosure (KK019-047002-) extending c. 20-30m westward from the N portion of the monument, with the N side running E-W c. 30m to the N. • KK019-047002 Enclosure
  Description

  Identified as the cropmark of a sub-rectangular enclosure (dims. min. c. 130m E-W; c. 40m N-S) on an aerial photograph (CUCAP BGG031, 16 July 1971). The enclosure extends c. 20-30m westward from the N portion of an adjacent enclosure (KK019-047002-) to the SE, with the N side running E-W c. 30m to the N of that enclosure. The sub-rectangular enclosure appears to continue beyond the field boundary to the E, but is not visible as a cropmark.   Description

  In tillage. Identified on an aerial photograph (GB89.Q.29, 13 July 1989) as a cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m). Another enclosure (KK019-141-----) lies c. 300m to the ENE. The cropmarks of an adjacent field system (KK019-119----), aligned E-W and N-S, which may or may not be associated. • KK019-119 Field system
  Description

  In tillage. Cropmarks of a field system identified on an aerial photograph (GB89.Q.29, 13 July 1989). It consists of two parallel field boundaries c. 35m apart, running E-W and another boundary running N-S, possibly from the northernmost E-W boundary. This boundary, as it runs northward appears to start to curve gently westward. Two enclosures (KK019-118---- and KK019-141----), also identified as cropmarks, lie immediately N and NE respectively of the visible field system cropmarks, though this is not necessarily an indication of contemporaneity. • KK019-141 Enclosure
  Description

  In tillage. Identified as a cropmark on satellite imagery (Google Earth Pro, imagery date 13 August 2015). The cropmark highlights the fosse of a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 28m) which appears to have a wide entrance (Wth c. 7m) in the SSW sector. A modern field boundary runs E-W across the northern portion of the enclosure. Another enclosure (KK019-118-----) lies c. 300m to the WSW.   Remains of canal, built 1755-65, including sections of random rubble limestone retaining walls. Disused, pre-1840. Set back from road on bank of River Nore.
