Description
The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). Description
Discovered prior to road construction (Excavation Licence No. 93E0168). Excavations uncovered evidence for Early Bronze Age activity which appeared to be habitational rather than ritual. Bronze Age "Food Vessel" pottery and worked flint were found in association with stakeholes and charcoal spreads. (Opie 1994, 58) Reference: Opie, H. 1994 Navan. In I.
