Description
In low-lying marshy ground liable to flooding, a stream rises to E. Two contiguous oblong grass-covered mounds: (a) to E (NNW-SSE 6.5m, WNW-ESE 4.5m, H 0.8m), and (b) to W (NNE-SSW 5m, NW-SE 3.45m, H 0.4m), between which is a trapezoidal depression (L 4m, Wth 3m max.) opening towards SW. Two other fulachta fiadh (GA071-026003-, GA071-026004-) ) lie to SE. There is a well, marked 'Tobermore' on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1934), in close proximity to all three fulachta fiadh. Description
Some 80m SE of a fulacht fiadh (GA071-026002-). A roughly horseshoe-shaped grassy mound (D 11.5m, H 0.85m) with a central depression running WNW-ESE. Traces of burnt stone are visible beneath the sod. A similar monument (GA071-026004-) lies c. 50m to SE. Description
Some 50m SE of a fulacht fiadh (GA071-026003-). Alow subcircular mound (N-S 13m, E-W 11m, H 0.7m), almost entirely grass-covered, with patches of burnt stone visible in places.
