In wet pasture; frequent rushes. Circular area (dims. 21m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by scarp (Wth 2.3m; H 0.95m). Causewayed entrance (Wth 4m) at SSE. Fosse (basal Wth 3.3m; overall Wth 7.4m; D 0.25m) S-N-ENE and ESE-SSE; fosse is best defined SW-NW. Interior is generally level and contains two ring-barrows (TS066-60001- and TS066-60002-) in NW-sector and one ditch-barrow (TS066-60003-) in E-sector. Shroughnagowneen stream to immediate S. Description
Within enclosure (TS066-060----), off-centre to W, c. 3m to E of scarp. An adjacent ring-barrow (TS066-060002-) is located to the NE. A circular area (diam. 5m) defined by a fosse (basal Wth 0.4m; overall Wth 1.55m; D 0.25m) SSE-W-N and remains of levelled scarp (Wth 0.8m; H 0.1m) NE-E-SSE. The interior is grass covered and level. Description
Within enclosure (TS066-060----), off-centre to N. An adjacent ring-barrow (TS066-060001-) is located to the SW. A circular area (diam. 6m) defined by a fosse (Wth 1.65m; D 0.15m) NNE-S-NW and low outer bank (Wth 1.95m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.05m) visible in the NE quadrant and ESE-S-SSW. Only the scarp (Wth 1.15m; H 0.2m) of the interior is evident in the N quadrant which is c. 2m to SW of the enclosing monument. The interior is grass covered and has a gentle S-facing slope. A circular area (dims. 3m N-S; 3.5m E-W) defined by a shallow fosse (Wth 1.35m; D 0.1m) SE-W-N and scarp which is shared by the enclosing enclosure at E. Description
In wet pasture, on a slightly raised area; lots of drainage channels evident. Sub-rectangular area (dims. 23m NW-SE; 18m NE-SW) defined by scarp (Wth 1.25m; H 0.5m), which is less defined NE-E. Fosse (overall Wth 4.6m; basal Wth 2m; D 0.35m) NW-E-S is choked with grass and occasional rushes. Drainage channel (long-axis ENE-WSW) enters fosse at ESE. Interior has a gentle E-facing slope with an uneven surface. Monument truncated by drainage ditch (Wth 2m) and townland boundary (double ditch) across WSW-sector. Description
On the N bank of a now dry meandering stream, in low-lying wet pasture. A circular enclosure (overall diam. c. 14m), defined by a fosse and what appears to be an outer bank, visible on satellite imagery (Google Earth satellite imagery, 18 November 2018), identified and reported by Jean-Charles Caillère. There are a lot of barrows in the general vicinity, including a large barrow (TS066-057----) c. 170m to the WNW and a ditch barrow (TS066-057001-) c. 200m to the W.
