  Description

  On a gentle E-facing slope at the bottom of a steep NE-facing slope. Circular scrub and rush-covered area (diam. 36.2m N-S; 35m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.6-4.3m; int. H 0.2-1m; ext. H 1.1-1.6m), which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.3m) NE-SSE, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 4-5.2m; Wth of base 2.1-2.8m; D 1.1-1.7m), which is much reduced (D 0.5m) NE-SSE.   Description

  On a gentle E-facing slope at the bottom of a severe NE-facing slope of Mullaghcreigha Hill. Described in 1970 as a circular area defined by a slight bank and outer fosse (Wth c. 4m; int. D c. 1.8m; ext. D c. 0.9m) (SMR file). It is now visible as a circular grass-covered area (diam. 43m E-W; 42m N-S) defined by slight traces of a fosse (Wth 3m; max. D 0.3m) S-W-NNE and a band of rushes (Wth c. 3m) elsewhere. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
