  Description

  Situated on flat marshy terrain at the W foot of gentle slope. Circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) shown the 1838 and 1907 OS 6-inch maps as partly intruded on by railway embankment. Neither the enclosure nor the embankment are visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). • WI021-042001 Burial ground
  Description

  Situated on level ground overlooking a gentle W-facing slope. Quadrangular graveyard (dims. 60m E-W; 30-40m N-S) enclosed by iron railings. The site is on a low circular platform (diam. 80m), possibly the remnant of an earlier enclosure (WI021-042003-). There is a possible font base (octagonal with circular socket and two narrow slots) (WI021-042002-) at the centre of the graveyard with a small granite pillar beside it (possibly associated). There is no visible trace of a church. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). • WI021-042002 Font
  Description

  Within a burial ground (WI021-042001-) on level ground overlooking a gentle W-facing slope. An octagonal, granite font base (max. Wth 0.32m; T 0.2m) with a central circular hole. The font is broken at one side but otherwise well preserved. Two chisel-cut slots (D 0.02-0.03m) remain on the upper flat side of the font, there may have been others on the broken part. • WI021-042003 Enclosure
  Description

  On level ground overlooking a gentle W-facing slope. A slightly raised area (diam. c. 80m) defined to N and S by a marked drop within which is a burial ground (WI021-042001-) and a font base (WI021-042002-). • WI021-078 Burial mound
  Description

  Situated on a gentle SW-facing slope in landscaped demesne lands SW of Goldenfort House. Circular platform (diam. 30m; H 1m) with no trace of a bank, fosse or internal features. Human bones, including three skulls, were found during sand extraction at beginning of this century on the NE side. The site appears to have been utilised as a landscape feature, probably a tree-ring in the 18th century.
