  In rough mountain pasture, on level patch of ground sheltered by rock outcrop to E, on lower S-facing slope of Maulin Hill, towards W end of Beara peninsula. Ruined gallery (L c. 2.4m; Wth 1.25m at SW) aligned NE-SW;represented by two erect side stones to SE, one upright and one fallen sidestone to NW. Two displaced roof stones partially cover NE end.   Description

  In rough mountain pasture, broken by rock outcrop at W side of stream valley, on lower S-facing slope of Maulin Hill. Arc (C 12.2m) ESE->WNW formed by double line of upright contiguous slabs (max. H 0.8m) with grass-covered core (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.4m; Wth 1.5m). Line of enclosure to W defined by rock outcrop. Entrance (Wth 1.4m) marked by two upright parallel slabs set at right angles to line of bank. Hut site adjoins rock outcrop at W side of interior. Consists of circular area (5.3m N-S; 4.7m E-W) defined by stone bank (ext. H 0.55m). Line of upright contiguous stones form inner facing W->E; three sets of double uprights noted to NW. Modern walling to SW indicates modern use as sheep shelter. Small sub-rectangular (4m NW-SE; 2.9m NE-SW) enclosure adjoins outer edge of enclosure to ESE. Interior defined by rough stone bank. Entrance to NE (Wth 0.6m) defined by two upright parallel slabs. Complex lies in SW corner of rectangular field enclosed by rough line of stones. Other disused field boundaries to S. The remains of a D-shaped hut site (3.6m E-W), which abuts the E side of the enclosure, defined by a collapsed linear wall (L 5.6m; T 0.6m; H 0.4m) along the straight E side and elsewhere by a curving scarp (H 0.5m) from which stones are protruding.   Description

  In rough peaty hill pasture, on a SW-facing slope overlooking Cloontreem valley and Berehaven Harbour. An irregularly shaped area (c. 100m N-S; c. 65m E-W) is defined by a collapsed drystone wall (max. T 1m; max. H 0.8m), the lower courses of which protrude above the surface of the bog. The mainly curvilinear wall consists of a variety of stones, some of which are set upright at right angles to the line of the wall. A small circular enclosure (CO115-058----) lies in the W half of this enclosure. A hut site (CO115-058001-) abuts the inner E wall of the enclosure and a second hut (CO115-058002-) lies c. 30m to the S of the first and within the interior of the enclosure.   Description

  On E side of stream, between it and southern foothills of Maulin Hill, peat cutting has revealed stone walls, constructed on underlying mineral soil. Most northerly wall (H 0.2m; Wth 1m) consists of rough line of stones, extending c. NE-SW for 16.5m; contains many upright slabs at right angle to line of wall. Runs into turf bank (H 0.2m) at NE end. Possible to follow further 25m as uprights protrude above peat surface, ending at second turf bank (H 0.2m).   Description

  In bogland, on W-facing slope overlooking stream valley to Eagle Hill. Peatcutting has revealed collapsed stone wall (H c. 0.6m; Wth c. 1.7m) running NNE-SSW, which disappears into turf bank (H 0.9m) to NNE. Some upright stones noted. Lower down same slope are numerous disused field boundaries (rough lines of stones, some upright, visible above shallow peat (H 0.2m). Other features noted include small circular enclosure (diam. 4m) adjoining E side of disused field boundary. 40m E of enclosure is cairn of small boulders (3.7m N-S; 3.7m E-W); edge well defined on W side. The remains of two stretches of relict stone field boundaries (T 0.6m; H 0.45m) extend in a general N-S direction as they protrude above the surface of the bog. Both walls are c. 70m in length and are located c. 40m apart. Many stones are set at right angles to the line of the mainly curvilinear walls. Occasionally the stones run into deeper bog.   In rough undulating hill pasture, on a W-facing slope. Turf-cutting has exposed a network of several stretches of relict stone field boundaries (max. T 0.6m; max. H 0.5m) throughout an irregularly shaped area (c. 700m N-S; c. 600m E-W). The relict walls are mainly curvilinear and consist of stones that protrude intermittently above the remaining uncut bog. The stones are set generally at right angles to the line of the wall. In marshy hollows the walls run on into the uncut bog. There are several gaps and breaks in the walls. There are seven hut sites (CO115-090002-, CO115-090003-, CO115-090006-, CO115-090007-, CO115-090008-, CO115-090009- and CO115-090010-), a fulacht fia (CO115-090004-) and an enclosure (CO115-090005-) within the field boundary network.   In rough hill pasture, on a terrace within an area of pre-bog walls (CO115-090001-) on a W-facing slope in Cloontreem valley. A circular area (14m E-W; 13m N-S) is defined by traces of an inner and outer row of contiguous slabs (Wth 1m; H 0.45m) protruding above the surface of the bog. Most slabs are upright and the remainder are either leaning or fallen. A large boulder is incorporated into the wall at NE. A 2m wide gap at NNE may indicate the entrance. The remains of a rectangular hut site (3.4m NW-SE; 2m NE-SW) defined by a partially collapsed drystone wall (T 0.5m; max. H 0.7m), the base stones of which protrude above the surface of the bog. The SE and SW sides are largely collapsed. Stone slabs that are set at right angles to the line of the wall and leaning against each other are visible on the NE and NW sides of the hut site.   In rough pasture, on a NE-SW ridge with a view S-W to Castletownbere and Berehaven Harbour and the Miskish Mountains. This standing stone (0.75m x 0.35m; H 1.25m) is roughly rectangular in plan and is orientated NE-SW. The stone leans to the SE.   Description

  In rough pasture, on a terrace on a SW-facing hillslope with a view S-W to Castletownbere and Berehaven Harbour and the Miskish Mountains. This standing stone (0.6m x 0.3m; H 0.9m), which protrudes above the surface of the bog, is irregular in plan and is orientated NE-SW. The upper portion of the NW face of the stone has broken off.   Description

  In rough pasture, on bog, on a SW-facing slope. The remains of an eroded irregular mound (c. 5m NE-SW; c. 3m NW-SE; H 0.1m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil on the NW bank of a stream. Burnt material is also scattered along the bed of the stream for a distance of c. 6m. There is a hut site (CO115-023----) c. 60m to the NE and a standing stone (CO115-156----) c. 80m to the SW.
