  Description

  On a gentle N-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 56.3m N-S; 56m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3-4m; int. H 0.3m at W to 1m E-S; ext. H 1.4-1.7m) separated by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 7.3-8.2m; Wth of base 4.5-5.5m; D 0.9-1.2m) from an outer bank (Wth 2m; H 0.2-0.6m) N-E which is incorporated into a field bank (at E: Wth 1.8m; H 0.3m) elsewhere.   Description

  On a knoll on a gentle N-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 42.6m E-W; 40.7m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 5.5m; int. H 0.5-1m; ext. H 1.5-1.7m) which is reduced to a scarp (H 2.2m) N-NE, separated by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 7.3-8.5m; Wth of base 3-4.7m; D 1.5-1.6m) from an overgrown outer bank (Wth 2.3-4.3m; H 0.3-0.8m).   Description

  Described a s 'Fort' on an undated estate map in NLI (MS. 21.F.44 (no. 48)), but not marked on any other map. It is situated on a low-lying level landscape at the S edge of a bog. It is a D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 25m NW-SE; c. 21m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (at NW: Wth 3.2m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.3m) and outer fosse (at NW: Wth of base 2m; max. D 0.1m) W-NE, and an earthen bank (at SE: Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.4m) E-S. The perimeter is truncated by the NW-SE Termon River at SW (L 12.5m), and a NNW-SSE field drain at NE.
