  Description

  Internal diameter 27m N-S Situated NE of (KE001-045----) this univallate rath consists of a crescent-shaped area enclosed by an earthen bank, except to the W where it has been completely levelled. A slight fosse is to be noted in the E sector where it measures 1.4m in width and .4m below the surrounding land. The enclosing bank is .8m high externally, on average .5m high internally and 3m wide. Two gaps measuring 4m and 3m can be found in the N and SE bank. In the interior there is a circular raised platform (KE001-034001-) area measuring 7m N-S x 8m E-W x .3m above, the interior. The above description is derived from C.   Description

  Situated NE of (KE001-045----) univallate rath KE001-034---- consists of a crescent-shaped area enclosed by an earthen bank, except to the W where it has been completely levelled. • KE001-044 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Internal diameter 31.6m N-S, 24m E-W Situated in boggy land, this site has extensive views in all directions. It has been cut to the E by a stream flowing N, thus it appears as a crescent-shaped area enclosed by a bank. The bank measures 1.6m externally, 1.6m internally, and c 4m in width. In the interior side of the W sector there is a semi-circular bank curving into the enclosing bank, which measures internally c 4m N-S and c5m E-W. The above description is derived from C.   Description

  Internal diameter 28m N-S, 27m E-W This sub-circular univallate rath is enclosed by a well-defined bank and exterior fosse. The earthen enclosing bank is 1.2m high externally, c .8m high internally and 4m wide at the base. The fosse is shallow and U-shaped, measuring c 1m in width and .5m below the surrounding land. Two gaps are to be noted SW and E, measuring 3m and 4m respectively. The gap on the E side has a causeway leading across the fosse measuring 4m in width and .35m above the fosse.   Description

  Internal diameter 23.4m N-S, 27m E-W This univallate rath is roughly cut in half by a track running in a NW-SE direction. The sub-circular area is enclosed by a low wide earthen bank. The external height of the bank measures .5m, the internal height .5m and the width at the base c4m. In the WNW sector of the interior is a moss-covered boulder covering a souterrain (KE001-046001-) now inaccessible, which was constructed of stone. The above description is derived from C.   KE001-046---- is a univallate rath is roughly cut in half by a track running in a NW-SE direction. The sub-circular area is enclosed by a low wide earthen bank.
