  In bogland on S-facing slope. Slightly raised circular area (15m N-S; 15.5m E-W) partially enclosed to N by two low grass-covered banks (max. H 0.4m) and shallow intervening fosse; to S by scarp (H 0.35m) where turf cutting has occurred. Entrance (Wth 3.4m) to NE. Holy well (CO115-01502-) in SW quadrant.   Description

  On level pasture at W end of, and overlooking Bear Haven. Row of three stones, two of which are prostrate. NE stone, aligned NE-SW, is 1m L, 0.35m T and 2.8m H. Next stone lies 2.15m to SW; it measures 3.65m by 0.9m. SW stone, 3m from last, is partly concealed; it measures at least 2.7m x 0.9m. (O Nualláin 1988, 236, no.46).   On W bank Aghakista stream, 0.5km NE Castletown Bearhaven. Aghakista Bridge (CO115-022002-), a narrow hump-backed bridge with two semi-circular arches provides access from road. Rectangular remains of small 19th century mill built into steep slope of stream bank. Rock cut mill race diverted water from stream just N of mill.   Description

  Three groups of stones protruding from cutaway bog. (a) Two small upright stones (H 0.8m; 0.64m x 0.38m: H 0.62m; 0.67m x 0.24m) 1.96m apart and standing parallel. Third stone to NE fallen and partially overgrown with bog. (b) 15.7m to S of (a), line of eight stones running NNE-SSW approximately 1m apart each; five upright (H 0.43m - 0.75m; Wth 0.41m - 0.85m; H 0.16m-0.32m); three fallen and partially overgrown with bog. (c) 22m to S of (b), line of three upright stones (H 0.46m; 0.98m x 0.34m:H 0.45m; 0.56m x 0.28m; H 0.7m; 0.29m x 0.17m), c. 2.2m apart running N-S;barely protruding above bog.   Description

  In rough pasture covered with rushes, on the S bank of a stream. A crescent-shaped mound (7.2m E-W; 3.8m N-S; H 0.4m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The opening (Wth 1.4m) faces N towards the stream. Burnt material is exposed in section in both banks of the stream.   Description

  Situated in rough hill grazing on an E-facing slope, the remains consist of a horseshoe-shaped mound (c.12m NE-SW, H c. 0.5m) with an open area (L 4.5m) facing a small river that flows down to the E. Burnt brittle stones are exposed in several parts of the mainly grass-covered mound, especially close to the bank of the river (pers. comm. C. Murphy).   Description

  Corner-sited attached four-bay three-storey house and shop with chamfered bay and dormers, built, c.1900, now in use as a shop and beauty salon. Hipped artificial slate roof with pitched artificial slate roofs to dormers, having uPVC rainwater goods and rendered chimneystack. Painted rendered walls with stone wheel guard to corner. Square-headed openings with replacement uPVC windows and painted concrete sills. Render shopfront comprising pilasters, with acanthus motif to capitals, supporting decorative scroll brackets and fascia with moulded stringcourse and cornice having beaded egg-and-dart moulding to soffit. Square-headed openings with single pane fixed timber framed display windows and rendered sills. Pair of square-headed openings having timber glazed double-leaf doors with overlight.
